NEWGRAVINE OF SAINT-CASTIN
La Neugravine Marie-Philippe de Valinois est née le 26 octobre 1956 à Saguenay. Elle est la fille de Louis-Philippe 1er (1923-2020), le premier souverain de Saint-Castin (2014 et 2016 à 2020) et de la Neugravine consort Jeanne-d’Arc (1926-1992). Elle est issue de la famille de la Voye-Boulanger-Legendre, une branche cadette de la dynastie Rénatine de Normandie installée en Amérique du Nord depuis 1625, d'abord à Château-Richer.
Le 9 janvier 2021, Marie-Philippe a hérité de la couronne de tous les saints, symbole du pouvoir intemporel castinien, suite à une période de deuil national d’un mois qui a suivi le décès de son père. Le 26 octobre 2021, elle a prêté serment devant le conseil législatif et est devenue la Neugravine régnante de Saint-Castin.
Marie-Philippe a étudié dans le domaine de la santé et a exercé en tant qu'infirmière dans divers hôpitaux pendant plus de 35 ans. Elle s’est mariée à l’église Saint-Alphonse de Bagotville au Saguenay et célébrera son 40ème anniversaire de mariage en 2022. Elle est mère à deux reprises et grand-mère de deux garçons.
Durant les prochaines années de son règne, la Neugravine souhaite être à l’image de sa fonction, c'est-à-dire être présente pour chacun et faire preuve d’impartialité politique. Tout comme pour son père avant elle, la fonction de chef d’état castinien implique un devoir de réserve afin de pouvoir unir tous les Castiniens de tous les horizons politiques unis ensemble afin de faire de notre nation, un peuple où les libertés d’expression et d’association sont un droit pour chacun.
Lors de son allocution d’intronisation le 26 octobre 2021, elle a conclu : "Ensemble, nous pouvons accomplir davantage et faire de Saint-Castin une référence et un modèle pour tous. Nous sommes peut-être une petite nation, mais nous savons voir grand." Son titre officiel est : Son altesse sérénissime Marie Philippe, Neugravine de Saint-Castin et de Valinois, seigneuresse de Chiasmialie et grande protectrice de l’Outaragasipi.
The Newgravine Marie-Philippe of Valinois was born on October 26th, 1956 in Saguenay. She is the daughter of Louis-Philippe 1st (1923-2020), the first ruler of Saint-Castin (2014 and 2016 to 2020) and Newgravine consort Jeanne-d'Arc (1926-1992). She is from the House of De la Voye-Boulanger-Legendre, a junior branch of the Renatine Dynasty of Normandy that has been established in North America since 1625, first in Château-Richer.
On January 9th, 2021, Marie-Philippe inherited the crown of all saints, a symbol of Castinian timeless power, following a month of national mourning after her father's death. On October 26th, 2021, she swore an oath before the legislative council and became the reigning Neugravine of Saint-Castin.
Marie-Philippe studied in the field of health and worked as a nurse in various hospitals for over 35 years. She got married at the Saint-Alphonse Church in Bagotville in Saguenay and will celebrate her 40th wedding anniversary in 2022. She is a mother twice and grandmother of two boys.
During the next years of her reign, the Neugravine wishes to be in line with her role, that is to be present for everyone and to be politically impartial. Just like her father before her, the role of head of state of Castinian implies a duty of reserve in order to be able to bring together all Castinians from all political backgrounds united together to make our nation a people where freedom of expression and association are a right for everyone.
In her investiture speech on October 26th, 2021, she concluded: "Together, we can achieve more and make Saint-Castin a reference and a model for all. We may be a small nation, but we know how to think big." Her official title is: Her Serene Highness Marie Philippe, Newgravine of Saint-Castin and Valinois, Lady of Chiasmialie and Grand Protector of Outaragasipi.

Louis-Philippe 1er est né le 28 janvier 1923 à Bagotville dans le Saguenay. Il était le fils du Neugrave George 1er Gonzague et de la Neugravine Rose-de-Lima, et faisait partie d'une fratrie de 25 enfants. Il a accédé au titre de noblesse valinoisien en 1976, suite à l'abdication de son deuxième frère.
Au cours de sa jeunesse, durant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, Louis-Philippe a servi dans l'effort de guerre en tant que pilote de paquebot, assurant le transport de fret entre Duluth et Halifax en Nouvelle-Écosse, et entre Saint-Jean sur l'île de Terre-Neuve via le Saint-Laurent.
En 1950, il a épousé Jeanne-d'Arc, qui est devenue la neugravine consort lors de son ascension au plus haut titre valinoisien. Leur mariage a eu lieu à l'Église Saint-Édouard des Méchins, un village d'origine de l'épouse, conformément à la tradition locale en Gaspésie. Les jeunes mariés se sont établis à Bagotville. Louis-Philippe était père de trois enfants, un garçon né en 1952 et des jumelles nées en 1956.
Très pieux, Louis-Philippe a participé aux travaux paroissiaux et assistait à chaque messe de la paroisse Saint-Alphonse de Bagotville. Malheureusement, en 1992, son épouse est décédée des suites d'une longue maladie qui l'a affectée pendant les 24 dernières années de sa vie.
En 2014, Louis-Philippe est devenu le premier Neugrave de Saint-Castin, mais a été renversé par les républicains seulement un mois après la proclamation d'indépendance, suite à une union fédérale avec une micronation italienne. Le 1er août 2016, il est redevenu chef d'État en tant que Régent de la République de Saint-Castin, un poste qu'il a occupé jusqu'au 1er octobre 2020, suite à la deuxième proclamation d'indépendance. Il a ensuite été nommé Neugrave de Saint-Castin par le conseil législatif, suite à l'adoption de la présente constitution qui a été approuvée par référendum et adoptée par le conseil législatif castinien.
Le 9 décembre, le gouvernement castinien a annoncé le décès du Neugrave de Saint-Castin, son altesse sérénissime Louis-Philippe 1er, à l'Hôpital de Jonquière à Saguenay. Il était âgé de 97 ans et 10 mois.
Louis-Philippe 1st was born on January 28th, 1923 in Bagotville in the Saguenay region. He was the son of Newgrave George 1st Gonzague and Newgravine Rose-de-Lima, and was part of a family of 25 children. He became a Valinoisian noble in 1976, following the abdication of his second brother.
During his youth, during World War II, Louis-Philippe served in the war effort as a steamship pilot, transporting freight between Duluth and Halifax in Nova Scotia, and between Saint John on Newfoundland island via the St. Lawrence River.
In 1950, he married Jeanne-d'Arc, who became the newgravine consort during his ascension to the highest Valinoisian title. Their marriage took place at the Church of Saint-Édouard des Méchins, the wife's hometown, according to the traditional Gaspesian customs. The young couple settled in Bagotville. Louis-Philippe was the father of three children, a boy born in 1952 and twin girls born in 1956.
Very religious, Louis-Philippe participated in parish work and attended every mass at the Saint-Alphonse Parish in Bagotville. Unfortunately, in 1992, his wife passed away due to a long-term illness that affected her for the last 24 years of her life.
In 2014, Louis-Philippe became the first Neugrave of Saint-Castin, but was overthrown by republicans only one month after independence was declared, following a federal union with an Italian micronation. On August 1st, 2016, he became the head of state as Regent of the Republic of Saint-Castin, a position he held until October 1st, 2020, following the second independence declaration. He was then appointed Neugrave of Saint-Castin by the legislative council, following the adoption of the current constitution, which was approved by referendum and adopted by the Castinian legislative council.
On December 9th, the Castinian government announced the death of Neugrave of Saint-Castin, His Serene Highness Louis-Philippe 1st, at the Jonquière Hospital in Saguenay. He was 97 years and 10 months old.
